Making Life More Affordable

Families across Tennessee are working hard, but too many feel like they're falling behind. Housing costs are rising. Childcare is expensive. Healthcare costs continue to strain family budgets. Groceries, utilities, and everyday necessities cost more than they did just a few years ago. Congress should focus on practical solutions that help working people keep more of what they earn and build a more secure future.

Strengthening Education & Work Opportunities

Education and work are connected. Strong schools prepare students for success, and strong workforce opportunities help families build stable and rewarding lives. Every person deserves access to pathways that lead to good jobs, whether that path includes college, career and technical education, military service, apprenticeships, or direct entry into the workforce. As a teacher, veteran, and education leader, I have spent my career helping people develop the skills and opportunities they need to succeed.

Investing in Rural Communities & Agriculture

Rural communities help feed our nation, power our economy, and preserve a way of life that has shaped Tennessee for generations. Yet too many rural communities have seen hospitals close, farms disappear, businesses struggle, and young people leave in search of opportunity elsewhere. Rural communities are not asking for special treatment. They are asking for a fair opportunity to compete and thrive. As someone who grew up in rural Tennessee and has spent much of my career working alongside farmers, educators, and community leaders, I believe Congress should make strategic investments that strengthen agriculture, support local economies, and ensure rural communities remain strong for future generations.

Protecting Freedom & Securing Democracy

Our democracy works best when government is accountable to the people, elections are fair and accessible, and individual freedoms are protected. Those freedoms include the right to vote, the right to speak freely, the right to practice one's faith, and the right to make personal decisions about healthcare, family, and private life without unnecessary government interference. Americans may not always agree on policy, but we should be able to agree that elected officials should serve the public interest, respect the Constitution, and uphold the rule of law. Rebuilding trust requires meaningful reforms that strengthen accountability, reduce corruption, protect personal freedom, and ensure government remains of, by, and for the people.
